52 eps, thats a whole year of Digimon Ghost Game already LOL

Phillip Brooker • 1 year ago

Maybe it's going for some kind of record till they bring in the main antagonist. Or they'll separate it like with Xros Wars with the Death Generals and Hunters.

Xeon • 1 year ago

Hahahaha... I didn't know Jellymon was that kind of lady, asking Kiyoshiro where his "Shirikodama" is located only to act like a pervert to her partner (what a strange life Kiyoshiro lives) and I like that they respected the fact that Angoramon actually has a very skinny body and that he is just super fluffy, so every time Angoramon would dive in and come up again, his wet fur would show his real body type.

Watching Hiro reflect on the negative impact the human world can have on some Digimon makes me wonder what he's really thinking, what could he do about it?

Meroko Yui • 1 year ago

More that the leak that was there didn't effect anything but digimon. Essentially that their world is harmful to digimon. Things they can handle digimon can't. Honestly though it seemed digimon randomly got stuck in the human world really after Hiro's father went to the digital world. Though they do push that some might've came across even long before I think many came across after Hiro's dad crossed towards the digimon world and he even influenced some or maybe even most the problems. Most of the digimon that crossed had issues adjusting and caused harm on the human world. Just all that spiraling effect that digimon don't really belong in the human world. It's harmful for both sides human and digimon and that neither belong in the same place..

I think most the issues though were caused by Hiro's father even by going to the digital world tbh.I dunno. at times I feel he could even possibly be an antagonist.

MeganeMogwai • 1 year ago

Lol, so Angorramon hasn't got a big body, he just has lotsa fluff.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

That was shown in episode 7.

MeganeMogwai • 1 year ago

Really? I dont remember ...oops.

Oltu Kebabı • 1 year ago

I mean he's based on Ankara rabbit, a rabbit species originated from Turkey and known and breed for its fluffy wool.

Hade ni Ikuze • 1 year ago

Wet Angoramon isn't real, it can't hurt me.

IDR • 1 year ago

wet angoramon is just symbaangoramon with his eyes closed

Annecy Change • 1 year ago

14:01 he really is fluffy not fat. lol

Melfina Rose • 1 year ago

Excited for next weeks ep, Kiyo focused eps tend to always be the best ones but darn does that boy have some rotten luck in this series; poisoned, killed, mutated, frozen, attacked in the afterlife, attacked in his dreams and now it looks like possession is being added to the list.

SkysWeirdProductions • 1 year ago

Zoro and Sanji duking it out in this episode.

Episodic is fine but goal and everything else aka plot needs to advance and progress. Even pokemon is progressing with it episodic format where we can see ash traveled and battle gym until become champion. What's the point of this digimon ghost game again? It's not even about game smh. I dropped this shit awhile ago and only keep checking comments section to see if there's any progression and I kept getting disappointed

Hell, I'm pretty sure, many will watch digimon01 game anime adaptation.

Xeon • 1 year ago

In your opinion, they (the writers) may all be doing their research wrong, but there's also the fact that Digimon (the animated side of the franchise) has underperformed for a long time since "Digimon Frontier" arrived, with each season canceled before they can conclude as "intended", times change and sometimes the way to handle things must change along with it... just like it happened for Super Sentai and Kamen Rider.

NightDevil00 • 1 year ago

Well I guess I can't argue with that whole change of handling now can I since I wouldn't know much about it and then again I am far cut off from the modern generation since I don't even use Tiktok and I'm kind of old fashioned myself. Although, would it make more sense to really give back to those who have been long time followers of Digimon something to say Digimon is back and better than ever or something like that in terms of anime? Sure they have underperformed before but would you think it's the production team's fault Digimon since Frontiers has underperformed? The internet nowadays has plenty of fan writers and aspiring creators to be who have likely watched a lot of different shows while still being avid fans of the Digimon franchise.

Speaking of fan writers, do check out the other comment I wrote. I wrote an episode of Ghost Game of my own.

Xeon • 1 year ago

The entertainment industry is "ruthless" and Digimon as a franchise has experienced a very hard life since its inception, having trouble finding a solid foundation for the IP to have healthy growth... somehow not being handled with care by the people who invest money in it, with barely promoted merchandising, with projects getting canceled every time they fail to build a healthy fanbase. The fact that "Digimon" still exists is a miracle accomplished by the fact that the people who work on it care deeply about it. Knowing this and seeing what happened to most of the recent "spin-offs" of "Digimon Adventure" (in which TOEI had the final say) I can say that Digimon Ghost Game and its format was the right decision to make. Right now, the people who work on the Digimon franchise are doing everything they can to revitalize it and attract more people for the sake of the franchise... and honestly all I can see is that the staff working on Digimon Ghost Game are just a bunch of people having fun, and in this world where Digimon pretty much "lives on the edge" I don't see a problem with that.

Xeon • 1 year ago

It is not a matter of defending something or looking at only one side of the whole picture, different times just like different problems call for different solutions. It can be argued that Digimon Adventure was a success that TOEI was unable to replicate with any of its follow-ups (for example, Digimon Adventure 02 was canceled due to how unpopular it was), and even that original season had some issues like... virtually disregarding the source material's canon (in this franchise where everything is canon... that's a problem).

I understand that we do not all share the same tastes and that we do not all manage time in the same way, but it's only once "Digimon Ghost Game" concludes that its true merits will shine through.

We're not in the "Dark Ages" of the Digimon franchise (that was like late 2000s to mid 2010s... maybe around its end?), but rather its "renaissance", with a friendly new TCG, a dedicated producer handling the gaming side of the IP, and with "Digimon Ghost Game" doing really well and even the "Vital Bracelet" product has become a popular item with different collaborations (although Bandai trolled a lot of people with it more than once)... although in general the franchise continues to have many problems.

Tamers was episodic with bunch of plot elements and main trio had grow up as characters. Even side characters as Juri or Hirokazu got their digimon.
I like episodic treatment of GG, but I don't like how they almost forgot what happened in previous episode.
From episode 30 to episode 40 we had - ExTyranomon, WaruMonzaemon and Monzaemon, then Musyamon and Zubamon, then Betsumon, Salamandamon, Manticoremon and Darcmon, Gigasmon, RareRaremon, Doumon, Ryudamon and Gyukimon, Calamaramon.
Nothing connected those digimon and those episodes. Hiro, Ruli and Kiyoshiro never talked about incidents of previous episode in the beginning of new episode.

bulat ga kill • 1 year ago

they need to study from tamers

Gigabarto • 1 year ago

best digimon series since frontier, the ones that followed were truly lackluster (yes even adventure 2020)

Oltu Kebabı • 1 year ago

How is this "best"? It's boring, episodic is okay, but plot is near non-existant and nothing really happens 99% of the episodes end with talk-no-jutsu. Xros Wars was better than this, at least there was a plot, a direction story was moving. This is by far the worst season ever. Adventure was the best season since Frontier and remains that way, I rewatched it in last few days and gotta say, it's actually really good, story is fast paced, action packed, there is a proper flow until Milleniumon arc's end. It is pretty good and final battle is fantastic. But this? 52 episodes of fucking literally nothing. I like episodic stuff, but not when nothing happens.

"The world is uncaring"

Lmao what a message for a kids show

lady vivi ★ • 1 year ago

Finally some more Lamortmon action!

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

Kiyoshiro doubting about the existence of souls is ironic considering he personally saw an afterlife

or he is in denial and doesn't want to mention the time he canonically died

NightDevil00 • 1 year ago

Probably the latter

FunnehRabbitMan • 1 year ago

I've seen the animation references so I know he's just fluffy, but I still hate it when something reminds me that Angoramon's not fat.

Also, a "shirikodama" is a mystical organ located up inside your butthole. Jellymon wasn't trying to blow Kiyo, she was trying to finger his butthole. Not sure if that's better or worse.

Krcic Orascic • 1 year ago

03.37, wtf. I definitely didnt expect that in Digimons. XD

jim15(AH-LE-LE) • 1 year ago

OH MY FKN GOD!!! LAMORTMON JUST USED PURGATORY ONIGIRI!!!

It is a really good episode, and this makes them have a reason to go to the digital world! I am having a chill while reading it, your writting is so good that i could image the whole episode in my head, they should hire you as a writer!!

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

This could be great episode and it would finally start moving the plot.
The idea, the concept, everything is here. This episode would be both fearful and enjoyable and everybody would wait nervously for next episode.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

The whole concept of mirror house. It has horror vibe. Then, "return" of Archnemon, Toropiamon and Manticoremon.
Lamortmon's madness, because that is his true nature. And, of course, Gulus who talks to himself, somehow.
I didn't expect Matadrmon, though, because Ruli is kidnapped (I thought about Phelesmon or, even, Vamdemon, because technically, he isn't dead, those bats of his are still alive).
And, part that I like the most is Sephirotmon. That digimon and his abilities are pure nightmare fuel. Even crest of light, engraved on his area of darkness looks sinister.
I could see Lucemon as someone who is plotting everything behind the scenes and those black digimon could work for him and he sent them to track down Gulus, which Hokuto somehow cured and transfer to Hiro.
Still, personally thought, I would like to main villain of this season be Barbamon, the only demon lord with zero screen time.

Brian Self • 1 year ago

I don't think ruli can really control that rage monster lamortamon, in that form he wants to to catch a body. Real pokemon season 1 charlizard energy
